FAQ: Frequently Asked Questions VOD-DOWNLOAD
|
 |
 |
 |
In what format are the VOD films?
Orgazmik is using Microsoft Windows Media (WMV) with Microsoft Digital Rights Management (DRM).
How good is the quality of the films?
Generally it's a challenge to find the right balance between quality and file size. The quality of the films being offered by Orgazmik is very good (like a DVD). To
convince you of the quality check out the test films. They are available for free.
How big are the film files?
The file size mainly depends on the duration of a film. Approximately the size is around 1 GB (Gigabyte). A download
may take several hours, depending on the speed of your internet connection.
What happens when the rental period expires?
Nothing really happens after a rental period has expired. The movie file just doesn't play anymore. By starting it, you will see the activation screen again.
You may either reactivate the film at a reduced price or simply delete the file if it's no longer needed.
What does 'Download To Own' mean?
'Download To Own' means that there are no playback restrictions for a particular film. You may play it as much and as long as you want, it will not expire. 'Download To Own' titles with the addition '(no DRM)' have no copy protection and can therefore be copied to other devices and burned to a DVD. It's still not allowed though to distribute or share with third parties.
What payment options do you offer?
We offer the following payment options: Credit Card or Prepayment to our bank account. The last one requires that you send an email with the desired VOD titles and your customer number to our Customer Service. You will then get a reply with all the necessary information. Note for prepayment that the movies will not be ready for download until we receive the money.
Do I need to have an active internet connection to watch the films?
An internet connection is only needed to download the film and for the one-time activation. After successful activation an internet connection is no longer needed and
you may watch the film as much as you want until the rental period expires. So if you have the film on your laptop it's no problem to travel around with it and watch the
film wherever you are.
Can a film be burned to a CD/DVD?
To make a backup copy of the movie file you can burn it to a DVD or CD. However it is not possible to play
such a film on a standalone DVD player unless it is a "Download To Own" movie that has no DRM copy protection. Those titles are specially marked in our catalog. The selection of these titles is unfortunately quite small since most publishers require copy protection.
Is this a subscription service that bills me automatically?
No. You choose a film for download and we only charge the price the VOD movie costs. Once.
